The Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort would be a mess without these heroes!  The team members who constantly move around the resort to assist with guest requests and work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our guest rooms/amenities are clean and safe.  These individuals are truly our neatest team members here at the Carlsbad Inn and we’re here to celebrate them!

September 10-16, 2023 was International Housekeeping Appreciation week.  This week-long event allows us an opportunity to express our appreciation for the hard work and enthusiasm our team demonstrates day after day and their crucial importance to the success of our resort.  These professionals are the unsung and often unseen heroes of the Carlsbad Inn and help keep us ticking.  Simply put; without them, we would be a mess.

Every year, the 2nd full week of September we celebrate our Housekeeping department with week long activities hosted by each resort department.  Each department chooses a day to show them thanks and appreciation by rewarding the team with gifts, meals or a party!

• Monday; our Front Desk team served up some staff favorites, In & Out for lunch!
• Tuesday; our Maintenance/Security team provided post lunch treats of cookies, treats and drinks.
• Wednesday; all resort departments cooked a pancake breakfast for the housekeepers for a pre-shift breakfast.
• Thursday; our Hotel sales team provided goodie bags full of Mexican candies, snacks and agua fresca.
• Friday; our Activities team provided bagged lunches and drinks.
• Saturday; our executive team provided gift baskets including small gifts and everyday essentials.

Saturday also happened to fall on Mexico’s Independence Day so our team celebrated in style by wearing traditional attire from Oaxaca!  We loved seeing the colors and flair of the shirts on our team members that day.  Check out the pictures below!

In addition to the resort’s weekly activities, our Housekeeping team traditionally gets together outside of work for an appreciation dinner.  This year, our team opted to stay onsite and host a party with live mariachi!

Lastly, the cherry on top, the final piece of the puzzle, is Housekeeping Olympics.  The Olympics is hosted by Grand Pacific Resorts and brings together housekeeping teams from local sister properties with fun competitive games.  Competition includes fastest towel folders, roll-away bed makers and other team building activities.  No joke- this is a serious contest and winners take home prizes and bragging rights until the following year!

We love celebrating our team here at the Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort!  To our housekeeping team, we cannot say thank you enough for your endless work and amazing attitudes.  You {Housekeeping} ensure our resort runs smoothly and efficiently day after day and we appreciate everything you do!
