Who doesn’t love Awards season?! Your favorite actors & actresses, red carpet, spotlight and after-parties. From the Emmy’s to the Oscar’s, these are annual events you look forward to sitting back and watching. Here at the Carlsbad Inn, we look forward to watching a timeshare industry focused ceremony, the ARDA awards. Grab your popcorn and favorite candy and keep reading to find out why we prefer the ARDA awards.
American Resort Development Association (ARDA) is the trade association for the timeshare industry. Every year, ARDA recognizes personnel throughout the industry in various categories such as professional excellence, management, and staff level accomplishments. This year, the prestigious ARDA celebrations were held in Las Vegas. Our finalists all had the opportunity to explore the city for a few days of fun and networking events prior to the red carpet gala. Without further ado, we are honored to present our four (4) associates recognized by ARDA as 2024 finalists!
Angela Gonzales: Assistant General Manager. Angela has been working at the Carlsbad Inn since October 2021. Before joining Carlsbad Inn, she managed other resorts around Carlsbad. Angela won gold for Resort Assistant Manager.
Charlie Jackson: Facilities Director. Charlie has been working at Carlsbad Inn since 2015, starting as a technician and progressing to director back in 2019. Charlie won gold for Maintenance Team Manager.
Claudia Anguiano: Activities Director. Claudia started at the Carlsbad Inn as an activities attendant back in 2006 and quickly moved up the ladder to supervisor and then director. Claudia won gold for Activities Program Professional. After her win, Claudia said, “I feel amazing! However, it’s my team that makes me who I am, and I couldn’t have done it without them. The whole experience is honorable, and the Grand Pacific Resorts family made me feel like a winner even before the event. It has been such a memorable experience that I will hold in my heart forever.”
Teresa Leduc: Housekeeping Director. Teresa has been working at the Carlsbad Inn since the early 1990’s- simply incredible! Teresa won silver for Housekeeping Manager.
We are incredibly proud of our team and beyond grateful for the opportunity to work with these individuals every day! We hope to continue watching them and others bring home ARDA gold for years to come!
