And we’re back! Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort property updates are officially complete and to be totally honest with you, our resort looks amazing! Keep reading for more detail about our completed renovations plus pictures of our newly enhanced resort.
Brief recap of what occurred and why: our underground parking structures water barrier between the resort and top layer of the garage deteriorated in places due to aging. To address the issue, we removed all existing concrete around the resort to re-seal this top layer of the garage to avoid future water leaks. So, the resort was divided into phases to remove concrete and renovate our amenities. The project was coined the waterproofing project and started in the spring of 2019 and finished in August 2021. You can read previous posts about some amenity renovations here to get more detailed information if you’re interested- we highly recommend you do.
Our last post was the re-opening of the courtyard in May. The courtyard includes the lounge space, fire pits, Pointe, and adult Jacuzzi. We were lucky and re-opened the courtyard earlier than expected with the one exception being our adult Jacuzzi. Unfortunately, as we’re sure you’ve heard this statement quite often over the last year that due to supply chain delays we did not receive the front gate on time therefore the Jacuzzi remained closed. The adult Jacuzzi renovations completed in May but without the front gate for safety reasons we could not open the amenity. Sadly, it sat on the brand new courtyard space empty until August when we finally received the gate. As you can imagine, this amenity was a huge hit with our owners & hotel guests when we were finally able to open the door.
