We have exciting enhancements currently taking place around the Carlsbad Inn we would love to fill you in on! If you’ve stayed with us over the last month you may have noticed and if not keep reading to find out what is going on.
The Carlsbad Inn has character and European charm to add to our laid-back coastal vibes. We’re firmly rooted here in downtown Carlsbad Village for the last 35+ years creating memories which bring our owners & guests back to the resort year after year. What’s not to love when you’re located less than a block to the beach & majestic Pacific ocean or numerous restaurants and bars in Carlsbad Village- go on, we’ll wait to find out. If our location alone doesn’t convince you to choose the Carlsbad Inn for your next vacation then our laid-back coastal vibes, spacious outdoor courtyard with ocean views and numerous amenities/in-house activities will!
Every once in a while we need to make necessary updates to our resort to keep us open & operating. We understand that some enhancements may cause vacation disturbances but it is necessary with a maturing property. Currently, we have two (2) resort enhancement projects taking place that we’re very excited about- we know both will help refresh the property! We are removing, repairing and replacing our roofing on our timeshare buildings and replacing sliding glass doors in the Hotel.
Roofing repairs started in our Elm Condominium building this past October and are scheduled to continue through February 2023. To complete this project, we are closing off sections of 3rd floor units at a time over a 3 week period. Scaffolding is set up outside these units for workers to remove existing roof shingles, replace existing exposed plywood if needed and then add new roofing. 1st and 2nd floor units are still available for ownership usage or condominium rentals- only 3rd floor units are not available if roofing repairs are taking place directly above them. Once a section of roofing has been completed, scaffolding is broken down and shifted to the next phase of units. We have scheduled this work to take place during weekdays (Monday-Friday from 9am-5:30pm). We recommend to plan vacations accordingly to avoid any possible interruptions.
The Oak Condominium building is scheduled to begin its roofing repairs next Fall 2023. Owners and guests will be notified in advance of planned repairs so adjust vacations if necessary.
The 2nd enhancement project currently taking place is replacement of sliding glass doors in our Hotel guest rooms. With a maturing property and building comes a time for necessary updates and we are extremely excited about this! Similar to how we have scheduled roofing repairs; we are closing off sections of Hotel guest room inventory at at time from guest use to complete this project. We are expecting this project to run through next April 2023 due to repair work and number of units. Crews are operating on the same work schedule as the roofing project; Monday through Friday from 9am-5:30pm. These new slider doors will provide an amazing difference in quality and overall guest room experience which we cannot wait to unveil- our first phase of slider doors are expected to re-open in the coming weeks!
