Welcome to Carlsbad Village; Pure Project!  Pure Project is a craft brewery & tap room on State St. in the heart of Carlsbad Village.  Roughly two blocks from the resort, Pure Project should be on your bucket list the next time you visit.  From the open-air patio and Hong Kong Orchid tree, the aromas from on-site aging in Oak barrels, to the friendly & knowledgeable staff you will immediately be hooked by this tropical “Biergarten” vibe.  The Carlsbad Village location is one of three locations in San Diego and we cannot be happier to have them here.  Read on to learn more about Pure Project below.

Pure Project started in Costa Rica in 2013.  The company then moved to San Diego in 2016 as the city was better suited for brewing functions as well as minimizing their impact on the environment.  Their company ethos:  use pure, unique, and local ingredients whenever possible, take care of the environment and tell a story of the ingredients and process along with the beer itself.  To practice this, Pure Project brews their beer with a focus on sustainability – brewing beer with the seasons using local and organic ingredients when seasonally available. Due to using seasonal ingredients Pure brews a variety of styles including:  traditional German Pilsners, IPA’s, Barrel Aged Stouts, Sours, Vanilla Cream Ales, Hard Kombucha, beer slushies and more.  Be sure to grab your favorite brews before they are rotated out due to the seasonal changes!

Pure Project strongly believes if you love something you have a duty to protect it; therefore they are a “1% for the Planet” company.  They donate 1% of all sales to multiple environmental non-profits locally, nationally & internationally who work to protect the planet that sustains us.

If their company values alone don’t spark your interest then the location and beers certainly will!  Pure Project has an ideal location in the heart of Carlsbad Village on State St.  The tap room is right across from the train station, perfect for when you’re waiting for the next train – you can grab a quick beer to-go!  We recommend having an open schedule when you visit as you’ll lose track of time sipping beer with friends on their outdoor patio surrounded by plants. Along with the seasonal beers, Pure also offers year-round favorites like the Pure West, a crisp IPA.
