SAN DIEGO ZOO ITURI FOREST
A multi-species lush rain forest habitat developed at the World-Famous San Diego Zoo. Visitors enter the tropical rain forest and are confronted with the world of monkeys, hippopotamuses, forest buffalos, otters, and a multitude of tropical birds.

Step into the African rain forest and visit with a troop of western lowland gorillas. Gorilla Tropics offers you close up observation of gorilla society in a simulated rain forest environment. The environment improves the well being and behavior of it's residents living among the lush vegetation, cascading waterfalls and sounds of the African rain forest.

The newest habitat. Enjoy a three-dimensional journey into a tropical forest. A naturalistic home to more than 30 species of some of the world's most exotic and endangered wildlife.

Absolutely Apes-
Provides a lush natural environment with Orangutans and Siamangs living in the same terrain as they would in the wild.

Reptile House-
Safely view an amazing collection of pythons, cobras, boas, tortoises and rattlesnakes. Walk down Reptile Mesa to view rock iguanas and the Galapagos tortoises.

Wings of Australasia-
The tropical areas of Australia and Southeast Asia and the plants and animals that live there.

The Zoo is located on Zoo Drive in Balboa Park, just north of downtown San Diego.

Hours: The San Diego Zoo is open 365 days a year. Spring hours are in effect: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (grounds close at 6 p.m.). Extended summer hours begin June 22: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (grounds close at 10 p.m.)
